So here’s what’s South Beach Diet is all about.
The South Beach diet is a diet which is broken into 3 phases. Phase 1 is all about eliminating craving and kickstarting weight loss.

The South Beach Diet achieves this by trying to remove the cravings for sugar and starches from your diet. The South Beach Diet will require you do some planning with the foods you eat. You see, South Beach diets requires you to each nutrient-dense, fiber-rich fruits, vegetables, and whole grains; legumes; Lean sources of protein and good fats like canola and fish oils.
So after a couple of weeks of eliminating cravings, you then move onto phase 2 of the diet. Phase 2 is all about losing weight steadily. You see, here is where you slowly introduce carbohydrates and sugars back into your diet. But you do this ever so carefully, making sure you exercise as well.
By phase 3, you should be able to maintain the weight you want, and be in the habit of choosing the right foods to eat.
The South Beach diet is a good diet, however it won’t work for everyone. You see, because you eliminate some certain foods from your diet, it's not balanced enough to make it a good long term diet.
